Nike Air Max Day
Cloth & dynamics simulation study for the Air DN launch
How do you give an icon like the Swoosh a new kind of physicality? For Nike's Air Max Day, we contributed a series of content pieces to an event conceived and designed by Sunst Studio, exploring the Swoosh and the new Air DN through simulation. Working in Cinema 4D and Houdini, we treated both as starting points for motion studies, testing how form, material and movement could carry the energy of the launch.

At the core of our research were cloth simulations in Houdini. We draped, stretched and released fabric around the Swoosh and the Air DN silhouette, pushing each setup until the motion felt both natural and unexpected. Every simulation was a controlled experiment in weight, tension and flow, translating the shoe's sense of air and cushioning into something visible. The result was a set of visuals that slotted into Sunst Studio's event design and gave the new silhouette a tactile, living presence.
