Laser & LED synchronisation Installation

Can a laser read what's happening on screen and draw along with it? For the ZPACE Programm, we turned a small gallery space into a test lab for exactly that question. At its centre stood an LED monolith playing our content and a series of content experiments, surrounded by haze and a single laser mounted on a tripod. The laser traced the imagery on the LED surface in perfect sync, turning flat content into lines of light that cut through the space.

Beyond pre-programmed content, the system also worked in real time with live camera feeds, so the laser could follow IMAG as it happened. The installation became a working use case for content and laser as one connected system rather than two separate layers. What started as a gallery experiment has since moved onto the big stage: the approach is now part of our toolkit for arena tour productions.
